KALAMI
Kalami beach is located 15 km east of Chania, on the southern part of Souda Bay. It is a peaceful, secluded beach, which is relatively not organized.
The beach has pebbles along with fine sand, and deep, crystal-clear water that makes it a distinct experience to swim into. It offers great view to the picturesque Souda Bay, and the island of Souda with the characteristic fortress on top of it.
On the side of Kalami beach there is an old small pier. Close to the beach you can find the archaeological site of ancient Aptera, and the impressive fortresses of Intzedin and Palekastro.
