DITTO GORGE
A difficult gorge to hike; however it will reward you with its scenery.
The Ditto Gorge, also called Katohori Gorge or Stylos Gorge, starts 21 km east of Chania, next to Katohori village, at an altitude of 300 m, and leads to Stylos village, 8 km to the East , at an altitude of 40 m.
Hiking inside the gorge is not easy , as in certain parts you have to climb to get through. The duration of the hike is around 3 hours. Inside the gorge there is lush vegetation with huge plane trees. You will also find several steep slopes, where the special ditto herb of Crete grows.
