MUSEUM OF NATIONAL RESISTANCE
Go back in time in the Crete of WWII
The Museum of National Resistance is located in the village Therisos and includes a rich photographic archive from the period of the National Resistance of 1941-1945. The Museum includes weapons and heirlooms of fighters as well as various objects and clippings of newspapers of that period.
It is the only museum of its kind in Crete and its purpose is the recording, study, projection and preservation of the historical memory of Cretan National Resistance during the period 1941-1945. The Museum opened its doors to the public in 2003.
