For the last 25 years, the Tsikoudia Fair celebrates this trademark distilled alcohol drink that is linked with the typical Cretan table. The fair takes place at the Venetian harbor each October since it is in October that the first grapes are distilled the traditional way in order to produce Tsikoudia. The fair is accompanied by Cretan folklore music and groups of Cretan dancers. It is the perfect occasion to celebrate tradition, revive old customs and socialize.

Each August the Agricultural Fair is showcasing the uniqueness of Cretan products as well as the marketing initiatives of associations and entrepreneurs in order to properly promote Cretan goods locally and abroad. Each year the fair is gaining more and more participants, constituting it into an institution that receives broad attention and approval, making it the ideal platform for new collaborations and investments. Since 2011, the Agricultural August Fair travels to Thessalonica and Piraeus, with large volumes of visitors attending and showing interest.
